License Issues

License Already Activated on Another Device

Section titled “License Already Activated on Another Device”
  • “License already in use” error
  • “Device mismatch” error
  • “Please deactivate other device first”
  • Activation fails with hardware ID error

Each FeedFlux license can only be active on one device at a time. This protects against unauthorized sharing.

If you have access to the dashboard:

  1. Log in to feedflux.app
  2. Go to Account Information
  3. Find the Device section
  4. Click Deactivate Device
  5. Confirm deactivation
  6. Return to FeedFlux Desktop
  7. Activate with your license key

If you forgot which device has your license:

  • The dashboard shows device information
  • Check device name/model listed
  • Deactivate from dashboard if you can’t access that device

If your old computer is lost, broken, or wiped:

  1. Log in to dashboard
  2. Go to Account Information → Device
  3. Click Force Deactivate or Deactivate Device
  4. This remotely unbinds the license
  5. Now activate on your new device

Major hardware changes (motherboard, CPU) can change your hardware ID:

  1. Try activating normally first
  2. If it fails, deactivate from dashboard
  3. Reactivate on the “new” hardware

Using FeedFlux in a VM can cause hardware ID issues:

  • VMs have unstable hardware IDs
  • Hardware ID may change on VM restart
  • Recommend using on physical machine
  • Contact support for VM-specific solutions
  • “Invalid license key” error during activation
  • “License not found” message
  • Activation fails immediately
  1. Log in to dashboard at feedflux.app
  2. Go to Account Information
  3. Click the Copy button (📋) next to license key
  4. Paste directly into FeedFlux Desktop (Ctrl+V)
  5. Don’t manually type the key

Common mistakes:

  • Extra spaces before or after key
  • Confusing 0 (zero) with O (letter)
  • Confusing 1 (one) with l (letter) or I
  • Missing dashes

Your license key only works with an active subscription:

  1. Log in to dashboard
  2. Check Subscription status
  3. Should show Active
  4. If expired or cancelled, renew subscription

Make sure you’re copying from the right account:

  1. Check which email you’re logged into on dashboard
  2. Verify it matches your FeedFlux account
  3. Each account has its own unique license key

In rare cases, the key display might be stale:

  1. Log out of dashboard
  2. Log back in
  3. Copy fresh key
  4. Try activation again
  • “Subscription expired” error
  • License key stopped working
  • Can’t access FeedFlux Desktop
  • Dashboard shows expired status

When your subscription expires:

  • License key becomes invalid
  • FeedFlux Desktop won’t unlock
  • Dashboard access continues (to renew)
  • Your data is preserved
  1. Log in to feedflux.app
  2. Go to Subscription
  3. Click Resubscribe or Renew
  4. Select your plan (same or different)
  5. Choose billing period (monthly/yearly)
  6. Complete payment
  7. License reactivates immediately

Subscription may have failed to renew due to payment issues:

  1. Go to Subscription → Payment Method
  2. Verify card is valid and not expired
  3. Update payment method if needed
  4. Retry payment or wait for automatic retry

Once you’ve renewed:

  1. Open FeedFlux Desktop
  2. It should automatically verify the renewed license
  3. If still showing expired, restart FeedFlux
  4. If still failing, re-enter your license key

If you cancelled but haven’t reached the end date:

  • Check dashboard for actual expiration date
  • Access continues until that date
  • After expiration, renew to continue

There may be a short grace period after expiration:

  • Typically a few days for payment retries
  • Don’t rely on this - renew promptly
  • After grace period, access is fully revoked
