Unauthorized Device Status
Symptoms
Section titled “Symptoms”- Device shows in list with “Unauthorized” status
- Yellow warning icon next to device
- Can’t run workflows on device
- “Device unauthorized” error
Understanding the Issue
Section titled “Understanding the Issue”“Unauthorized” means your computer is detected by the phone, but you haven’t granted USB debugging permission.
1. Check Phone for Authorization Popup
Section titled “1. Check Phone for Authorization Popup”When you connect via USB, your phone should show a dialog asking to Allow USB debugging.
- Check “Always allow from this computer”
- Tap Allow
2. Popup Not Appearing?
Section titled “2. Popup Not Appearing?”If you don’t see the popup:
- Disconnect and reconnect USB cable
- Unlock your phone screen (popup may be hidden)
- Pull down notification shade and check there
- Restart FeedFlux and reconnect
3. Revoked Authorization
Section titled “3. Revoked Authorization”If you previously denied or authorization was revoked:
- On phone: Settings → Developer options
- Scroll to Revoke USB debugging authorizations
- Tap it and confirm
- Disconnect USB cable
- Reconnect USB cable
- New authorization popup should appear
- Tap Allow
4. Multiple ADB Servers
Section titled “4. Multiple ADB Servers”Another program might be running ADB:
- Close other Android development tools
- In Command Prompt:
adb kill-server- Restart FeedFlux
- Reconnect device
5. Check USB Configuration
Section titled “5. Check USB Configuration”- Disconnect USB
- On phone: Settings → Developer options
- Find Default USB configuration or Select USB configuration
- Set to File Transfer (MTP)
- Reconnect USB
- Check for authorization popup
