Connecting Your First Device (USB)
What You’ll Need
Section titled “What You’ll Need”- Android phone with USB debugging enabled (see Section 6)
- USB data cable (not a charge-only cable)
- FeedFlux Desktop installed and activated
Step-by-Step Connection
Section titled “Step-by-Step Connection”Follow these steps to connect your Android device to FeedFlux.
Step 1: Connect Your Device
Section titled “Step 1: Connect Your Device”- Plug your Android device into your computer using a USB cable
- On your phone, if prompted, select File Transfer (MTP) mode
Step 2: Authorize the Connection
Section titled “Step 2: Authorize the Connection”- A popup will appear on your Android device: “Allow USB debugging?”
- Check “Always allow from this computer”
- Tap Allow
Step 3: Connect in FeedFlux
Section titled “Step 3: Connect in FeedFlux”- Open FeedFlux Desktop
- Click Devices in the sidebar
- Click Refresh Devices
- Your device should appear in the list
- Click Connect next to your device
Step 4: Verify Connection
Section titled “Step 4: Verify Connection”Once connected successfully, you’ll see:
- Device name and model displayed
- Green “Connected” status indicator
- Device screen mirroring (if enabled)
Troubleshooting USB Connection
Section titled “Troubleshooting USB Connection”| Issue | Solution |
|---|---|
| Device not detected | Try a different USB cable (use data cable, not charge-only) |
| Device not detected | Try a different USB port (preferably USB 3.0) |
| “Unauthorized” status | Check your phone for the USB debugging authorization popup |
| Connection drops | Disable USB power saving in Windows settings |
| ADB error | Restart FeedFlux Desktop |
Best Practices
Section titled “Best Practices”- Use a high-quality USB cable - Cheap cables often cause connection issues
- Keep the phone unlocked during initial setup
- Disable battery optimization for FeedFlux on your phone
- Use a USB hub with external power if connecting multiple devices
